Winter rhymes with depression to you? I guess you never set a foot in a gay ski week! What could be better than hurtling down the ski slopes by day then getting wild on the dance floor at night?

Imported from the United States, the concept has now settled in Europe and some gay ski weeks are now very successful. Many gays and lesbians get together every year, mainly in the Alps and the Pyrenees, to share good times and experience winter sports. More than a trip to the mountains, this is an opportunity for the gay travelers to be able to meet and party and not have to wait until next summer.

Here's a list of some of the 2015 gay ski events around the world, starting with the French Alps that host the most important weeks of the European continent.

First event of the season, the "Arosa gay ski week" will be held from January 11 to 18 in Switzerland and will celebrate its 11th anniversary!

The traditional Drag Race will be held once again and will crown the most flamboyant competitor and the most extravagant outfit, with a trip to the Bahamas to win. Run fast to get your outfits! The less active of you can still enjoy the fresh mountain air, dinners and tours that are proposed.

From 21 to 28 March, the 3rd edition of the "European snow pride" will take place in Tignes, in France. With over 800 expected participants (50% French, 50% Europeans) this event is the largest of its kind in Europe in the biggest ski domain in the Alps.

Activities include skiing and snowboarding with friends or a trainer, shows, parties with top DJs from great Europeans gay clubs, a giant pool party at the Tignes pool area (5,000 m2), a trapper camp evening, a raclette and fondue Party and dog sled rides ... Hard to get bored !

This year, in addition, thanks to the steady increase in visitor numbers, the Snow Pride team has enhanced its range of accommodation in hotels and residences.

This year, three hotels and six resorts from 2 to 5 stars will be available, suiting all expectations in terms of comfort or budget. The current special offer, starting from €369 per person, including accommodation, ski pass and Event Pass makes the stay more attractive than ever.

During the same week, the competitor event, the "European gay ski week" will be held in Avoriaz (France), with the usual gayn parties and pool parties that made its success. Last year, the EGSW took place in l'Alpe d'Huez.

There's also an event in the Pyrenees: the "2015 Snow gay" will happen in Ax les Thermes - Ax Trois Domaines, March 12 - 15.

This European tour ends with the "Gay snow happening" in Sölden Austria, to be held from March 21 to 28.

We leave now for the USA where many gay ski weeks will happen, as every year.

From 11 to 18 January 2015, the "Aspen gay ski week", will open the season in the US. It has existed since the 70s, making it the oldest gay ski week in the world. It is located in the Colorado’s Rocky Mountains and takes place every year in January for 38 years. Also in Colorado, "Telluride gay ski week's" 12th edition, already voted best gay ski week in the USA by Gay.com, is expected February 22 to March 1.

On the Californian side, the thirteenth edition of the "Mammoth gay ski week" will be held from March 18 to 22 and will host about 2,500 fans of winter sports. Lake Tahoe Winter Festival will occur from March 2 to 9. Also note that from February 26 to March 1, the "Park city gay ski" Week will be held in Utah. The "Winter rendezvous" in Stowe will take place January 21 to 25, on the slopes of the Vermont mountains.
