Cologne (also Köln or Koeln) is one of the oldest cities in Northern Europe, and has been a gay haven for decades.

As a center for broadcast and publishing media, it continues to buzz with creative style, which
combined with its rich history and laid - back friendly vibe make it a particularly compelling gay getaway. With a compact layout, historic and cosmopolitan attractions, and a surprising density of gay bars and venues, Cologne offers a rare combination of big city Euro appeal and small town accessibility.

You’ll find an abundance of shopping, culture, nightlife and dining, all within easy walking distance, and a trove of inviting cafés, where locals and visitors alike enjoy a leisurely meal, coffee and cake, or a Kölsch (the local beer) while watching the colorful street life.

English is widely spoken, and you’ll find Starbucks and most of the big global fashion brands here, but Cologne hasn’t been overly internationalized. It is authentically friendly, decidedly German, relatively inexpensive, and so easy to enjoy.
